About the presenter: Mary Stuart Hunter is executive director of the National Resource Center for the First-Year Experience and Students in Transition, at the University of South Carolina. She lectures nationally to help colleges help their new students. She is on the national advisory boards of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, the Policy Center on the First Year of College, and the Network Addressing Collegiate Alcohol and Other Drug Issues, and she serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Learning Communities Research.
